Red Digital Cinema Camera CompanyAs the first Red One operator here in Japan we have accumulated an ever expanding list of satisfied clients who have used our services to provide the best possible experience when shooting with the camera. Recent music videos by such artists as Hideaki Tokunaga, Alan and Noiz have all been shot on our cameras, along with various commercials and short films.

 

For now, we'd like to showcase some still samples taken from our upcoming music video featuring the artist Karuta, entitled "Japonica", directed and shot by Paul Leeming. For those curious, the robot's name is Posy and she is the creation of Tatsuya Matsui of Flower Robotics.

 

Note that these images are only 25% of full size. They were shot at 4K using the CinemaScope 2.39:1 ratio at 23.98fps using Arri Ultra Prime and Red lenses only. Build 15 of the camera's firmware was used and everything you see here was shot in one day using only available light. Colour grading has been done entirely in RedCine and is a first correction only. Secondary colour correction has yet to be completed. Best viewed at gamma 2.2 using the sRGB colour space.
