"Welcome to Visceral Psyche! We are a small, Tokyo based Japanese production company interested in making dark, edgy and intelligent films that provoke the audience's mind and make them think about the wider world, whilst enjoying the experience of the film itself. Story is paramount. We want to make you feel something when watching our films, not just be a passive observer.
Our primary mission beyond filmmaking is to provide you with our newest acquisition, the Red One digital cinema camera, which you can hire from us at competitive rates. The Red One is a 4K camera equipped with a 35mm sized sensor, which rivals the latitude and image quality of film. It can use PL mount cine lenses as well as Canon EF compatible still lenses, using a swappable mount. We aim to be the most professional Red One team in Japan, providing you with excellent service and a high degree of camera and workflow knowledge. We have the first Red One camera in the country, soon to be expanded to a total of four cameras, so that you are assured of timely backups in the unlikely event that one of the cameras goes down on set. Finally, our on set workflow is designed to ensure that your footage is quickly and safely backed up to multiple independent drives, while not getting in the way of shooting time.
